RR Bloodstock Top Consignor at BBAG Yearling Sale

With today's final day of racing around the meeting highlight, the 149th running of the Großer Preis von Baden, an extremely successful Große Woche meeting at Iffezheim came to a close for Ronald Rauscher Bloodstock.

On the one hand, Ronald Rauscher Bloodstock finished the BBAG Yearling Sale held on September 3 as the leading consignor with an excellent result. Sixteen of the seventeen yearlings consigned were sold, achieving an average price of just over €46,000. Two of the future hopefuls found themselves in the group of eleven products that cracked the €100,000 mark at the auction.

The granddaughter of the multiple champion mare WURFTAUBE, whose offspring also include Derby winner WALDPARK, achieved a top price of €140,000. ILMARI left the ring for €100,000. The colt out of a sister to Derby winner ISFAHAN presented himself very much in the type of his sire PROTECTIONIST. Of course, we are especially pleased with this colt's top sale.

Besides the great auction result, we were extremely pleased to witness three great performances of horses that are connected to Ronald Rauscher Bloodstock through consignments. The very impressive winner of the T. von Zastrow- Stutenpreis (Gr.2) on Saturday, WALDBIENE, is a daughter of the Gr.2 placed WALDJAGD who was sold out of training in 2011 at Tattersalls for 320,000 guineas through us to Haras De Saint Pair.

MILL MARIN took a similar route. She was acquired by Gestüt Brümmerhof at the 2014 Tattersalls December Sale. And this week, the Pivotal daughter made a name for herself when two of her products shone with great performances on the same day. Already a Listed winner this year, four-year-old MARSHMALLOW was a strong runner-up in the Coolmore Stud Cup (LR). Two hours later, three-year-old MENDOCINO won the €52,000 BBAG Auction race in impressive style.
