PROTECTIONIST (GER) RETIRING TO GESTUET ROETTGEN FOR 2017

Probably the last high profile son of the great Monsun to retire to stud, Protectionist (GER) was one of the fastest, most popular and toughest horses on the international circuit over the last decade. The Melbourne Cup winner is the highest rated German horse in training this season.
Andreas Woehler describes him as ‘The Iron Man’ after the horse came back from Australia and hit top form again during 2016 being unbeaten in Germany.
Australian Bloodstock is happy to announce that Protectionist (GER) will stand at Gestuet Roettgen near Cologne, one of the most successful and established farms on the European continent. Ronald Rauscher Bloodstock will manage the horse and a stud fee of € 6,500.00 payable 1.10. L.F. has been set for 2017.
