TÜNNES a class of his own in Gr.1 Großer Preis von Bayern

Spectators at the racecourse in Munich yesterday bore witness to an exceptional performance by three-year-old TÜNNES in the Gr.1 Großer Preis von Bayern. The colt from trainer Peter Schiergen's stables was completely superior in the last Gr.1 race of the year in this country, losing his rivals by a whooping ten lengths in the 2,400 metres contest. Now connections hear the Japan Cup calling for the Guiliani son, who had to miss the German Derby.
TÜNNES, a half-brother of the Arc winner TORQUATOR TASSO, races in the colours of Holger Renz, who purchased the colt as a RR Bloodstock consignment at the BBAG Yearling Sale.
